Nature’s Balm (Vi Maler Vig)

A peaceful forest scene, where a sleeping mother figure cradles a baby, with hidden forest spirits and birds.

A powerful phoenix-like feminine figure, with arms like wings of fire, hair of water and a body of earth and mist. Her face is stained; she has been in battle. Small humanoid figures cling to her hair, and winged creatures are born from the sparks of her wings.

“Vi Maler Vig” 2024
Easter- November 2024
A public art event on the highstreet of a little town local to me, called Vig. My picture is one of 22 paintings, 2m x 1m, randomly allocated around the highstreet area of the town in the warmer months between Easter and November. Mine is located on the side of the “Røde Kors” building.

As part of the local tourist attractions in the Danish long weekend holiday of “Pinse”, I welcome you to the garden of this lovely old train station to view my current works. I’ve set things up under tent, with refreshments and a toilet available.
Plenty of free parking in the large areas near the train station, and access also available with the fully functional local railway.

My first solo exhibition set in the spacious modern building of my local church’s culture and activity hall. There is a frequent use of this building for groups and locals, and the church building itself nearby is an ancient landmark built in approx 1170.
